The Photography Session

Your session usually lasts between 2-3 hours, but you can book the whole day if preferred. I approach all aspects of portraiture in the same way - laid back and relaxed -plenty of time to explore, hunt for bugs, dress up, have a picnic or just read a book or play the guitar. There is never a need to rush.

I will supply you with a 'Hints & Tips & What to Wear' guide, encouraging a change of clothes and guidance, if needed.

The session fee is £100 for children and families, larger & extended families - £150.

The Viewing - Presentation of Images

As I am telling a story of your family at a particular stage of your lives, I will present 100 images onto a large screen in your home a few weeks after the shoot. I spend a good deal of time editing the images to a high standard in preparation for your viewing.

Measure your walls & have a think about what you would really love - a collection of images in a Story book and maybe a few favourites hanging on your walls in contemporary acrylic or aluminum, or a traditional and stylish Framed collage?

This is the one time in your life you might not have thought about photographs until you realise how fast time goes - you will look back with warmth & amazement when your children have really grown up and those who never experienced a pregnancy shoot will always wish and wonder, including myself!!

Sessions

Maternity

The right time for a maternity photography session is between 32 and 36 weeks when your bump is really visible and your skin is sometimes glowing. I recommend you wear whatever you feel comfortable with - a loose fitting blouse or shirt, a floaty dress, tank top with jeans. (Think pure and liberated!) Sessions are usually about an hour or two depending on your comfort and take place in your home where you will feel relaxed and utilizing the beautiful natural light to enhance and flatter your new shape.

Babies

Newborn sessions are usually from 7-14 days old when little ones are still in the curled up stage & are absolutely gorgeous with soft tummies and curly toes. Sessions are fairly slow paced taking into consideration sleep patterns and feeding times of the baby - allow a couple of hours.

Packages

• Maternity Session Fee £150 which includes a newborn shoot.
• £195 Session also includes a newborn & either 6mths or 1 year shoots plus a 9x6 print from each session.
• Baby Session Fees £100, or £150 for 3 sessions - newborn, 6-7months(sitting) and 12-13 months (walking).
• All photography session/s will include a couple of hours with all the family members involved, if desired.

Fine Art Portraiture

Creating tasteful artwork which can be displayed in a range of traditional & contemporary formats. Whilst I am passionate about Maternity and Children’s photography, I achieve an inner peace when photographing people within the genre of fine art, where poetic licence takes over and my imagination and  creativity can go wild. Shooting within your environment I can transform images into fine art using textures and design. Pattern like texture is found everywhere - it is possible to create a variety of interesting effects, enhancing the mood of the pictures; by toning and distressing the photograph the image becomes soft yet powerful, adding interest to the subject.
